Around Town-
So glad to get to the Texas Association of Counties (TAC) Conference in Austin. Learned a lot about the 88th Legislature. Special guests Lt. Gov Dan Patrick and keynote speaker, Secretary of State Jane Nelson. Ran into some of my favorite County and Criminal District Attorneys in Austin – Natalie Cobb Koehler (Bosque County) and Jennifer Tharp (Comal County).
Attended the Kaufman County Children’s Advocacy Center ( KCAC) – annual purse bingo, back after COVID-19. It was a great evening. Benefiting the children in Kaufman and surrounding counties that utilize trained forensic interviewers, play therapy, individual and group therapy. The Kaufman County Criminal District Attorney’s Office hosted a table. One of our own at the table WON! It was greatness. Fun and fundraising. I can't wait until next year! I was honored to be among the guests of “The Living Legends” that were honored at the 6th Annual Empowerment Prayer Brunch today. The honorees accomplishments to the D/FW community were immense. Kudos to Verna Melton the chief organizer and hostess through her H.E.L.P. Foundation that made this happen! Rhonda and I were supporters of the honorees.

PROUD to swear in the newest city councilman for Forney, TX: Cecil Chambers. Good leadership at the local level is where it starts. Your city council and school board will effect your daily life and your children’s lives more than other levels of government. Get involved!
Kaufman Independent School District and the school board honored my dad, Homer L. Norville Sr. by dedicating the football field in his memory on September 3, 2021 at the first home game. Pictured with school board members, administrators, and family. An amazing honor for our family. It was a great night!
Kaufman County Republican Women (KCRW) hosted their Annual Bunco Fundraising Event. We had a great time!
